What it was like to interview at the 2026 digital transformation expo

What the expo was like

Expos are a great way for businesses of all kinds to showcase their best aspects, the 2026 digital transformation expo gathered 8000 people ranging from business owners, CTO’s, start-ups and many more. There were also 260 different exhibitors all eager to discuss industry specific topics.

At Wirebox we took a different more public approach; we value the feedback and innovation of all and believe everyone should have the chance to share some wisdom. We captured this by conducting as many interviews as we could, talking to whoever said yes.

The Expo was situated in Olympia London, the heart of events. This allowed for so many amazing stalls to occupy the space and stages to be set up for talks from industry professionals. It was a great chance to learn about the latest trends in cyber security, cloud, AI and big data, which are very important tools for progression in any company no matter the size, it also created a perfect atmosphere to network between individuals offering a service and businesses selling a product.

The interview process

Conducting interviews at this event at first came with a daunting pretence seeing as there were so many people and ones who had decades of experience in tech, AI, business, marketing and many more. Having a structured plan is the key to combatting this, knowing what you want to say and how you want to say it really pays off as you sound and feel as though you’re supposed to be there, garnering even more confidence and letting you speak more freely.

The main topics that were covered included what industry someone was in, asking what had brought them to the event today, then presenting them with a more interesting question of what tip they’d give to someone just starting out in their industry and to end on a light note, what’s one word to describe the event so far. These questions were carefully revised to exactly what I wanted to ask and get out of the interview, the mixture of light-hearted talking to points to more insightful points gives a good conversation flow to the interview.

Overall, the Digital transformation expo was a huge hit for everyone attending, speaking and showcasing. It emphasised how far technology is developing especially for the use of businesses, and it was also an amazing event to interview real industry professionals and gain knowledge through their answers.

How could using interviews in your business help take it to the next level?

As social media and video content develops it is becoming increasingly clearer to see which businesses do the best, the ones that adapt with the times. A big part of marketing today is shortform quick pace video content; this attracts more viewers and helps to bridge the gap between faceless company to an actual person behind the business. Interview content can be utilised not just to boost socials but to give credibility and a strong showing of a company’s values, this would be by having a short clip of a staff member talking about who they are, who their company is and what their role is.

Moreover, as AI continues to progress the algorithm continues to push only high-quality content that captures specific key words. Having some professional interview clips on your website is exactly what the AI is looking for and will allow your business to lead in AEO.

Here at Wirebox we specialise in creating a tailored website just to your liking and going that step further to help your business thrive and if you feel as though this is something you’re missing. Contact us today for a free consultation
