Modern Slavery Statement
Introduction
Wirebox Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to uphold the highest ethical standards and to act with integrity and transparency in all our dealings. This statement sets out the steps we have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not occur within our organisation or those we do business with.
Our Business
Wirebox Ltd is a UK-based digital agency providing web development, support, and digital consultancy services. Our team specialises in building and maintaining bespoke software solutions including databases, CMS systems, ERP systems and Open source software, including WordPress websites for a wide range of clients. Our business operates primarily in the UK, and our supply chain is relatively simple, consisting mainly of software developers in the UK
Our Policies
We have a dedicated Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy which reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. This policy is supported by our wider ethical business practices and is communicated clearly across our team and supplier network.
Our policies ensure that:
We do not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in any form.
All staff are aware of the signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns.
We expect the same high standards from all of our suppliers and partners.
Due Diligence in Our Supply Chain
We conduct checks and due diligence on all suppliers, freelancers, and contractors before engagement. This includes:
Confirming that they comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (where applicable).
Reviewing their own modern slavery policies and statements (if available).
Including anti-slavery clauses in our contracts to ensure ongoing compliance.
Assessing and Managing Risk
While the risk of modern slavery within our business is low due to the nature of our services, we remain vigilant and proactive. We review potential risks across our supply chain and assess suppliers based on geography, industry sector, and their internal practices. Any supplier identified as higher risk is subject to increased scrutiny and engagement.
Measuring Our Effectiveness
We evaluate our effectiveness through:
Regular policy reviews
Monitoring supplier compliance annually
Ensuring zero incidents of modern slavery or human trafficking
Conducting internal audits where appropriate
Training and Awareness
Training is provided to all relevant staff to help them understand the signs of modern slavery and how to respond if they suspect it. Our team is encouraged to raise concerns in a safe and confidential manner, with clear internal procedures in place for reporting and escalation.
Ongoing Commitment
Wirebox Ltd is committed to continuous improvement in our approach to tackling modern slavery. We will continue to review and strengthen our processes and remain transparent in our efforts to ensure ethical practices throughout our business.
