EMW Law

EMW Law Case Study Refreshing Life Back into EMW's Digital Presence

we create value for our clients

EMW is a great law firm with offices around the UK but their main office is situated in Milton Keynes. We love working with local businesses and this project was no different! We opened up a brand new Wirebox office in Milton Keynes this year.

EMW pride themselves on being a people first law firm, with highly experienced individuals doing more for clients and doing it differently. With the guiding principle of ‘law without limits,’ EMW has established itself as the foremost choice amongst law firms in the UK.

why wirebox?_

Wirebox initially contacted EMW in order to provide support and maintenance services for their Umbraco website. Forming a relationship by working with EMW we began discussing the development of a new website utilising WordPress, rather than Umbraco.

With a rebrand on the horizon and great marketing plans in place, Wirebox facilitated a discovery workshop with EMW in order to define the brief for the new website, diving deep into their ideal clients, how we can articulate EMW’s proposition and defining the core objectives of the new website.

What we found was EMW has a diverse audience that prefers a jargon free approach and direct support from the people within the business whilst being able to form strong relationships.

Partnering our learnings from the workshop and a successful rebrand, we knew exactly what direction the new website needed to lead to and the brief was formed.

our approach_

We wanted the EMW project to be as successful as possible, therefore we followed our tried and tested design and development process which included:

Discovery

We hosted an initial workshop to define the project, and followed this up with another workshop to define design vision and gain a better understanding of the new branding. This allowed us to identify key target audiences, what their journey would look like and how we can tie everything together using the powerful new brand.

Analysis

We took all of our findings from the workshops and outlined key targets which could be reviewed and reported on. In this stage we also looked at the user journey throughout the website.

Design

Working with a key partner, we wanted to ensure our designs hit the mark first time, whilst ensuring all brand guidelines were met. This allowed us to really explore the new EMW branding, making great use of the new colour palettes and helping the EMW branding shine through.

Development

Our developers are our most valuable asset, they live & breathe digital to ensure that they remain at the forefront of their fields and this shows in the work that we are able to produce. Our development team worked as a unit to build the web ready files for the new EMW website, along with setting up WordPress and building the appropriate content blocks that the EMW marketing team will be able to utilise moving forward.

Website Launch

As part of our launch for the EMW website, alongside our general go-live checklist, we also initiated a full SEO Review, and applied specific keywords throughout the website in order to ensure ranking on Google was retained, but also improved. This also included implementing redirects where URL paths changed. Ultimately, by the time of launch, the new EMW website was ready to have the best start.

In addition to our normal process, we also invested additional time into the security of the new EMW website, running Penetration tests to find any vulnerabilities which may have been present and apply patches / fixes. This process is also done on a monthly basis under our monitoring and protection services.

outcome_

EMW now has a bespoke WordPress website that makes the most out of their new branding, acting as a window into the world of EMW for new and existing clients. It’s a brand new tool the marketing team can utilise in order to generate new business, as well as sharing insight into the great things that EMW does. The website also provides recruitment functions for EMW, where they are able to list new role openings.
