Wirebox are proud of the work we do and we are proud to support many charities and help them from building websites and applications to helping raise money.
Here is some of the work we have been involved with..
Skydive for KidneyCare
The main account manager of KidneyCare in June 2019 decided to support their cause by participating in a sponsored SkyDive. They were joined by John and Eddie, who also wanted to watch. They arrived at the Brackley dropzone about an hour and half before they had to be registered, weighed and ready for their jump. After 15 seconds, the instructor pulled the parachute and they were free falling towards a layer of cloud. They managed to raise £350 for KidneyCareUK, which is the most they have ever raised for charity.
Hope for Depression run Race of Hope — Virtual 2021 Summer
Hope for Depression Research Foundation was founded by NYC philanthropist Audrey Gruss in 2006 to spur cutting-edge neuroscience research into the origins, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of depression, a national public health crisis in the United States and the world’s number one cause of disability. Wirebox has been supporting the Hope for Depression Research for over 5 years and during that time they have had many fundraising events.
In August 2021, team members from Wirebox did a 5k fun run in Cassiobury Park at the same time as the Race of Hope run in New York.
It was a fun day and the whole event helped raise money for the charity.
Pennies
Wirebox started working with Pennies in 2013. They were a small charity but had the API which retailers used to donate pennies to designated charities.
The API was developed in Python by another company but needed another company to support them.
We volunteered our services and supported them for 2 years. After this period the API and charity got much bigger and Pennies became a client of ours.
We are still proud of the work they do and how we supported them during the early days.
Signpost Counselling
Signpost is a charity providing one to one counselling and group counselling services to children and young adults. To promote their services, Wirebox developed a website using WordPress and an online form to register with the charity. To reduce workloads, all registrants are fed into the Charities ERP system, In-form, which is built on the Salesforce platform. Wirebox continues to support and assist Signpost with their online presence and data management.
Walk All Over Cancer
Nabin as a 2021 apprentice at Wirebox wanted to improve his mentality and decided to go for short walks every day. He had been getting up to about 5000 steps a day and decided he would do something for charity and went for the 10,000 steps goal challenge!
In March 2021 Nabin helped raise over £200 for Cancer Research UK’s fundraiser to Walk All Over Cancer.
PAPYRUS Charity Walk
On Tuesday 19th October 2021, Adam Hayward, our Social Media Executive, took part in a charity walk around the local area to raise money for PAPYRUS.
PAPYRUS works closely with young people in the prevention of suicide, offering support through their anonymous chat line, available 24/7, 365 days a year.
A huge thank you to iSales for hosting this walk. As a team, we managed to raise nearly £1,000.
