why wirebox?_

Wirebox has operated in Watford for over 5 years, developing strong relationships with local businesses, Charities and the council.

As we have grown, so has our reputation and we have been involved with Watford’s community as a local business and employer.  In July 2023 we were very proud to be awarded the prestigious award as Hertfordshire’s best Technical Services Provider.

Wirebox were approached with several local businesses to pitch for the design, development and deployment of the and were delighted to be successful with our proposal.

0ur approach_

Wirebox are consistent in our approach to delivering software development of all kinds, following our tried and tested process for software delivery.

      • Step 1 – Discovery

We hosted an initial Discovery workshop at our Watford Head Office to understand the key requirements, goals and objectives of the Watford BID project.  The findings from the Discovery workshop were then documented and shared with the BID, for their agreement.

      • Step 2 – Analyse

With all the information at hand, we were able to drill down into the findings to discover actionable goals which could be reviewed and reported on, but also measurable for ourselves and the BID.

      • Step 3 – Define

Developing and  prototyping a visual wireframe to allow the BID to visual the proposed platform.

      • Step 4 – Development

Building the site in latest web technology, utilising the Open Source CMS, WordPress.

      • Step 5 – Testing

Complete testing of the site including the many browsers, functionality and backend testing which also included user testing and unit testing.

      • Step 6 – Delivery

Pushing the site live and managing transition from the old to the new site.

outcome_

The deadline to produce the website was strict due to the BID’s communications and annual activities. We received the signed off new branding from We Are Acuity and were suitably impressed – it really helped us design the site and stand out from the crowd!

It was important for Watford BID marketing campaign that we reached the date to coincide with the media push.

The website was greatly received, referencing the slick design and the new features such as the Business Directory were highly praised and beneficial for visitors to both the site and Watford Town Centre.

It is important for the BID to communicate what they do for the local businesses and community, how they promote the local businesses and the value they provide.  There are two key audiences for the BID website, these include their members and also the general public, looking to get the most from their visit to Watford.
